What this documentation site stores in your browser, what the consent banner means, and how to change your choice. Last updated: 5 August 2026. This is not legal advice.

Short version

  • We do not use advertising or tracking cookies in the docs source.
  • We use local storage for your consent choice and, if you Accept, optional theme across visits. After you choose Accept or Essential only, we may use session storage for theme in this tab only (clears when the tab closes) so multipage docs do not flash — not for ads or tracking. We do not store theme before you choose.
  • First visit shows a banner with links to Privacy, Terms, and this page.
  • You can reopen the banner with Cookie preferences in the footer.

What we store

These are not classic HTTP cookies set by our docs JavaScript. We list them here because they still store information on your device. The caustica-design npm package itself does not write these keys — only this documentation / examples site does.

Hosting and CDN cookies

When the Site is deployed (for example on GitHub Pages or another CDN), that provider may set its own technical cookies for security, routing, or load balancing. We do not control those. Read the host’s privacy and cookie policy for details.

How to change or clear

  1. Click Cookie preferences in the Site footer to open the banner again and pick Accept or Essential only.
  2. Or clear this site’s data in your browser settings (that removes consent and theme).
  3. After clearing, the banner appears again on the next visit.
